Your agreement with Aurato
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Aurato Atlas, Graph, Hub, the Aurato API and MCP service, related websites, accounts and features (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you use the Services for an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. In that case, “you” includes the organisation. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
What Aurato provides
Aurato is a source-linked reference and analysis platform for global payments. Atlas provides public records and relationships; Graph provides programmatic access through APIs and MCP; and Hub provides account, dashboard and workbench features.
Aurato provides information and software, not payment execution, acquiring, money transmission, banking, legal, tax, investment or compliance advice. Aurato does not hold or move money for you. You remain responsible for decisions made using the Services and for checking source material, dates, definitions and applicability to your circumstances.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you are below the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must permit your use. You must be an adult and authorised to act for the payer to purchase a paid plan.
Provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account, including use of API or MCP credentials. Keep passwords and keys confidential, use reasonable security measures, and notify contact@aurato.io promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You may not sell, transfer or share an account in a way that bypasses plan limits or access controls.
You may sign in with email or a supported identity provider. Your use of that provider remains subject to its own terms. Aurato may merge identities that use the same verified email address so one person has one Aurato account.
Plans, subscriptions and tokens
Some Services are free; others require a paid subscription, token purchase or separate agreement. Features, usage allowances, billing periods and prices are shown before purchase and may differ by plan. Taxes and currency conversion charges may apply.
If a purchase is described as recurring, you authorise the stated charge each billing period until cancellation. You may cancel before renewal; access normally continues until the end of the paid period. Except where the checkout or applicable law says otherwise, fees are non-refundable once the relevant period or usage has begun.
Aurato tokens measure access to specified Graph features. Tokens are not money, stored value or transferable property. Included allowances may refresh at the start of a billing period; purchased or promotional tokens may have the validity and limits stated when issued. Aurato will not charge unannounced overage fees.
Acceptable use
You may use the Services only lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- interfere with, overload, probe or disrupt the Services or another user’s access;
- bypass authentication, plan restrictions, rate limits, technical safeguards or usage controls;
- use automated access outside documented API or MCP interfaces in a way that materially burdens the service;
- introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, test vulnerabilities without written permission, or misuse credentials;
- use the Services to violate law, privacy, intellectual-property or other rights, or to facilitate fraud or harmful conduct;
- misrepresent Aurato data as complete, current, official or verified beyond the labels and sources Aurato provides; or
- resell or provide the Services as a substantially identical competing database or access service unless a written agreement allows it.
Reasonable indexing, quoting and internal analysis are permitted when they respect source rights, access controls and service stability.
API and MCP access
API and MCP access may require a scoped key and is subject to the limits of your plan or agreement. You are responsible for applications, agents and workflows that use your credentials, including the instructions they send and actions they take. Do not place secret keys in public code or client-side applications. Aurato may revoke or rotate exposed, abused or insecure credentials.
Interfaces, fields, tools and limits may evolve. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption and will document material changes where reasonably practical, but beta or preview functionality may change without notice. Responses may contain source material, estimates or model-assisted output; review supporting evidence before relying on it.
Content and intellectual property
The Services, Aurato brand, taxonomy, interface, software, original editorial material and compilation are owned by Aurato or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms and your plan, Aurato grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Services for your own lawful personal or business purposes.
Aurato references data, publications, marks and images from third parties. Those materials remain subject to their owners’ rights and source terms. A source link or inclusion in Aurato does not imply endorsement, partnership or ownership.
You retain rights in information you submit. You grant Aurato the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit and display it to operate the Services. If you send feedback or suggestions, Aurato may use them without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.
Data quality and responsible use
Aurato aims to make payment reference data traceable and comparable, but the payment landscape changes continuously. Records may be incomplete, estimated, delayed, derived from sources with different definitions, or later corrected. Confidence labels, periods, units, methodology notes and source links are part of the information and must not be separated when doing so would mislead.
You are responsible for independent verification before using Aurato for regulated, financial, compliance, commercial or operational decisions. Nothing in the Services is a guarantee that a payment method, institution, product, regulation or market practice is available, lawful, safe or suitable for a particular use.
Third-party services and links
The Services may link to source publishers, identity providers, social networks and other third-party services. Aurato does not control their content, availability, security or terms. Your use of a third-party service is between you and that provider. We are not responsible for loss caused by a third-party service except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Changes and availability
We may add, change or discontinue features, data and plans to improve the Services, address security or legal requirements, or reflect source availability. We may perform maintenance and do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Where a material change adversely affects a paid service, we will provide reasonable notice when practical.
We may update these Terms. The revised version applies from the effective date shown on this page. If a material change affects existing paid users, we will provide additional notice where reasonably practical. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms, except where the law requires express consent.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Aurato at any time and may request account deletion by emailing contact@aurato.io. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate: deleting an account does not create a refund unless required by law.
We may limit, suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Services or others, respond to legal requirements, address non-payment, investigate suspected abuse, or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual-property terms, disclaimers and liability limits—will survive.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. Aurato disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy. We do not warrant that every record, relationship, measurement, source, API response or agent output is complete, current or error-free. These disclaimers do not exclude warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurato will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising from the Services or these Terms.
Aurato’s total liability for all claims arising in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Aurato for the affected Services during that period or (b) EUR 100. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
Governing law and general terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may have mandatory rights to bring claims in another competent court under the law where they live.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect and the provision will be applied to the fullest lawful extent. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without Aurato’s consent; Aurato may assign them as part of a reorganisation, financing or transfer of the Services. These Terms and any applicable order or written agreement form the entire agreement about the Services and supersede earlier discussions on the same subject.
